School Description

Established in 2006, Round Learnings presently conducts ESL training and standard test preparation at three campuses in Richmond, Vancouver west and White Rock. The mission of the school is to combine and blend the Western and the Eastern civilizations in education and in personal development so that students could, in this increasingly westernized global world, still embrace the ancient oriental wisdom while mastering western skills and technology. Students are expected to reject uninformed opinions and respect concrete actions; to understand Yin Yang and avoid extremism. Round Learnings tries to marry the Eastern balanced, holistic way of thinking with the exploratory spirit and executive power of the West. As a result, successful students do no hold onto any one extreme; Instead, they are not only proud of and confident for the extent of the wisdom of their native culture, but also empowered with the in-depth, specific knowledge of the West. Students of this kind are not only thinkers but also practitioners in a global world where the divide between the East and the West diminishes with each passing day, confident in knowing others and themselves and could walk the world with heads held high. Round Learnings executes its grand mission with concrete action. Inspired by ancient Eastern wisdom, Round Learnings has decoded the inner logic of English sentence as well as that of academic writing. As a result, Round Learnings is able to focus on students individual and specific needs and effectively deal with the most confusing and difficult aspects of an Asian student’s learning English language and writing. This audience oriented approach is deliberate. It sheds the yoke of influence from any mother tongue on learning a new language. This gives students a short cut out of ESL and an expressway to prestigious universities. Students could be a part of the main stream and be competitive in top notch professions. Our excellent students exit ESL in half to one year, pass IELTS with band 7.0 and are admitted to best universities of the world. They deserve a promised future in front of them.
