On January 1st, 2000, the founder of what would eventually become High Score Learning Inc. started a one-on-one home tutoring service. In a short time, the confidence level and academic success of each student increased tremendously. As a result, word of mouth from students generated a lot of interest and the very first local premium learning centre, High Score Learning Inc., was established in April 2005 according to this same proven method for success. That day, High Score Learning Inc. opened its doors to every child providing service that follows three basic principles: Keep it simple, make it accessible, and treat each student like an individual. Simple: Our tutors are trained to assist in the requirements and expectations of the B.C. Curriculum, which means they are experts in the same material your child is already learning in class. Our tutors can explain complex or confusing concepts in easy-to-understand ways without losing the important elements of learning and critical thinking. Our approach turns students into independent learners, rather than locking them into a system which can’t guarantee improved results on report cards. Accessible: We believe that all students should have access to quality tutoring by professional tutors in an effective and affordable way. At High Score Learning Inc., all children come under one platform where we can teach nearly every academic subject with ease. Our productive and optimistic environment gives makes it easy to motivate students who have issues with attention or comprehension, as we encourage effective communication skills in both our tutors and our students. Individual: From our years of successful work in the education and tutoring industry, one thing has become very clear. Many of our students have been attending High Score Learning Inc. from kindergarten to Grade 12.
