Youth winter camp

Vancouver, is Canada's main port city and important economic center, and a political, cultural, tourism and transportation hub in western Canada. The city has been one of the most liveable cities in the world by UN-HABITAT judges for many years. Vancouver is a cosmopolitan city with a core location in British Columbia, Canada.

Whistler, 125 km from Vancouver, is a world-renowned winter ski resort with millions of people visiting the world-famous alpine skiing and mountain bike venues every year. In 2010, Vancouver and Whistler jointly organized the World Winter Olympics and Winter Olympics for the Disabled, and became one of the favorite resorts in the world.

The North Point Winter Camp is designed to provide international students with a unique opportunity to learn about Canadian customs and improve their English. Our classroom is not limited to simple language teaching. In addition to a week of traditional language learning, international students will also go to Whistler Ski Village to learn about sledding or snowboarding. At the same time, the Winter Camp also features an evening interest group event and organizes a tour of Vancouver and surrounding attractions. Some of the faculty and staff of the winter camp will have the same accommodation environment as the students, so as to provide timely and thoughtful service and supervision to the students.

Course content

Course selection:

Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm for English classroom teaching, after-school arrangements for sightseeing and understanding of Canadian culture and other projects, evening organized for students to organize an organized group of hobbies and activities, weekend full-day tour Explore the classics of Vancouver and the surrounding area.

Winter camp boarding students are involved in evening activities such as skating, ice hockey, snack making, Indian artisanal art. Students will have the opportunity to explore Vancouver, Whistler attractions and experience Canada's social life culture.

Small class teaching is a practical exercise opportunity for students to have sufficient English listening, speaking, reading and writing. All teachers at the North Point Winter Camp hold a Canadian government-recognized vocational certificate and have extensive teaching experience for students of different English proficiency levels. The North Point Winter Camp will help improve students' skills in English writing, listening, grammar and pronunciation, and build their self-confidence in English learning. The English Winter Camp class is taught at 9:00 am and 3:30 pm, and a short lunch time is arranged at noon. Students have the opportunity to experience exciting events with local Vancouver students.

Highlights of the trip

• Tomorrow's Speaker: The senior speakers of the International Lecture Toastmasters International will serve as the mentor of the students, improve students' self-confidence in speeches, clarify the logic of speeches, and discover their unique advantages;
• Broadcasting Charm: Visit the CBC News Studio of Radio Canada and meet face to face with the star;
• Fiery Ice Hockey: Experience the power of Canadian National Golf - the ice hockey. Watch the Vancouver's strongest ice hockey team, Canucks, at Rogers, the largest sports stadium in BC;
• Cultural “Cool” Brigade: Students will visit the Vancouver Museum, UBC Museum of Anthropology, Vancouver Art Museum and other museums with Canadian students at UBC to experience the history of American culture and art.
• Home in a foreign land: Celebrate the traditional Spring Festival with local schools and Chinese communities, and participate in the local celebration of Chinese New Year in Vancouver;
• Winter Street View: Street Markets and Carnivals are one of Vancouver's special attractions. We will experience the unique views of the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival, the Vancouver Downtown Ice Rink, the Vancouver Farm Market and other winter villages.
• The world on the tip of the tongue: Vancouver is one of the most diverse cities in the world with countless gold restaurants. Students will head to the most prestigious restaurants in the city centre for the old factory, the Vancouver Revolving Restaurant, the traditional Japanese restaurant, and the Net Korean Restaurant.

• Itinerary date: February 9th - February 22nd, 14 days

• Student age: Children's group 9-12 years old, juvenile group 13-16 years old
• Accommodation: Stay at the hotel Fortius Sport & Health, two-person standard room
• Catering Status: Breakfast is served at the hotel, and Chinese food and dinner are arranged according to the itinerary.
• Cost: 30,000 RMB. This fee includes registration fee, tuition fee (60 hours English course), textbook fee, insurance, hotel accommodation, airport transfer service, fixed trip activity fee. Fees do not include airfare and visas.
