The Museum of Flight is the largest independent, non-profit air and space museum in the world! With over 175 aircraft and spacecraft, tens of thousands of artifacts, millions of rare photographs, dozens of exhibits and experiences and a world-class library, the Museum and its people bring mankind's incredible history of flight to life.
Programs:
Aerospace Camp Experience (ACE) is an American Camp Association accredited and award-winning day camp for any child who is excited about scientific pursuits. All campers are welcome at ACE regardless of gender, race, national origin, or religious affiliation. If you have an inquiring mind and want to have fun, this summer exploring the world of STEM, ACE is the camp for you!
Aerospace Camp Experience (ACE) is suitable for children from 5 to 13 years old to experience the mystery of space and let the children enjoy a space adventure for this summer.

ACE Mid-Winter Warmup - Register Now!
This winter, to get ready for our biggest, best summer yet, we are opening the Museum and its secret collections to our campers! It’s cold outside, but the warm history throughout the Museum will awaken your imagination and fly you to a new world! Each day of camp will be a completely self-contained unit, highlighting a specific gallery in the Museum with themes related to the exhibits in each gallery.

Discover the world of science! In our half-day camp series, campers will engage in hands-on activities that support creativity, stimulate imagination, and encourage making friends. Each week, campers will explore a part of our world-class Museum and participate in educational programs that embrace the spirit of exploration and innovation.
Solar Travelers - Mini Mysteries
Welcome Junior Detectives! This week we will become super-secret sleuths as we solve strange and unusual mysteries. We will learn about the tools detectives use to uncover secrets and even use some to discover some secrets ourselves!

From building giant pyramids to walking on the Moon, scientists and engineers have always used their knowledge and imaginations to meet seemingly impossible challenges! This week campers will learn how people have achieved incredible advances in the past and are using knowledge and science to engineer a brighter future!

Orbital Pioneers - Wonders of the Universe!
In recent years astronomers have discovered many objects and phenomena in the Universe that were once the stuff of legends! From black holes, to alien planets and dark matter, topics campers will learn about include some of the most amazing astronomical discoveries and how they were made possible. Campers will explore concepts of space travel and exploration, while designing their own scientific mission of discovery.

Aerospace Explorers - Exploring our Solar System
Curiosity, Cassini, Apollo, Pioneer! These are the names of just a few of the many missions and probes that we have used to explore our local galactic neighborhood in the last half century! This week campers will learn about many of the discoveries we have made and examine some of the new technologies that are driving the quest for further exploration.

Planetary Voyagers - The World of Game Design
What does it take to go gold? Level up this summer in this new partner camp between The Museum of Flight and Living Computers: Museum + Labs! Using tools like Bloxels and Scratch, gamers will work in teams big and small to design, code, and build games of their very own. Plus, with exclusive access to Living Computers’ collection of vintage games and consoles, campers will get a chance to learn all about unforgettable games that changed the world and the engineers who created them.

The Museum of Flight Restoration Center and Reserve Collection

Once again this summer, ACE will be offering camp sessions at The Museum of Flight’s Restoration Center and Reserve Collection located at Paine Field in Everett, Wash. These sessions will offer campers opportunities to explore STEM subjects using resources not readily available at the Museum’s main campus. Campers will be traveling to other venues on or near Paine Field. Transportation for these trips will be provided by trained Museum of Flight staff using approved Museum vehicles.
All camp activities (including check-in and check-out) will be conducted out of the Museum of Flight’s Restoration Center at the Snohomish County Airport (Paine Field), Everett, WA.
Galactic Rovers - Aviation: Past, Present and Future
This week campers will learn all about the amazing history and bright future of aviation! We’ll begin our week learning all about some of the great achievements of aviation’s past. A visit to the Museum of Flight Restoration Center will acquaint campers with the tools and methods people are using to maintain and preserve the relics of the past and provide an insight to the structure and mechanics of different aircraft. Finally, we will explore the wondrous future of aviation and aerospace! Each day’s activities may include a visit to off-site facilities around the airport.

Advanced Camp

Each week campers will pilot a small airplane around the Puget Sound with a certified flight instructor from Galvin Flying. Each camp includes an overnight adventure on Thursday.
Advanced Camp - Aircraft Design
This week campers will create an aircraft to fly a one pound weight over a set distance and land it safely. Campers will design their own aircraft and evaluate the various materials available to find the best combination of weight and strength to achieve the best results. Campers will then construct their craft and compete to see who has the most successful design! An overnight experience at The Museum of Flight is included.
