  1. Aldergrove Fair Days (All Ages)

One of B.C.’s best small-town fairs features world-class fun for the whole family. Highlights include musical performances including headliners Loverboy, a Show ‘n’ Shine Car Show, a chili cook-off and much more.

2. Vancouver Folk Music Festival (All Ages)

Explore an amazing array of artists gathered from around the world. This year's festival includes performances by Sam Roberts Band, Corb Lund, Charlotte Day Wilson, The Hamiltones, Larkin Poe, Basia Bulat, and many others. Other festival highlights include an Artisan Market, Folk Bazaar and the Little Folks Village for kids under 12.

3. Surrey Fusion Festival (All Ages)

This two-day festival showcases and celebrates the cultural diversity of Surrey. The event brings together cultural and community groups from around the world, along with 150+ artists and performers. Live entertainment, food pavilions and interactive cultural activities will keep you busy throughout the weekend. There will be a kids zone.

4. Boundary Bay Airshow (All Ages)

Better than ever, the Airshow welcomes the Snowbirds for the first time! From children’s activities and delicious food options, to the non-stop excitement in the skies, there's something for everyone!

5. Stories Under the Stars & Bat Watch (Ages 5-10)

Hear children’s stories about bats and other wildlife. Then watch and help count the bats emerging at dusk. Must be accompanied by an adult.

6. Lavender Farm Open House (All Ages)

The lavender is blooming! Walk through our beautiful gardens and find the perfect spot to enjoy a lavender lemonade or ice cream.

7. Friday Movie Night in the Plaza North Vancouver (All Ages)

Enjoy an outdoor summer movie experience and an evening of free family fun. The movies are shown on a big outdoor screen at sunset. Before the movie begins there’s lots of family-friendly activities, piano singalongs, face painting and entertainment.

New West Craft moves outside and onto the Boardwalk at New West Quay at River Market. Stroll the beautiful riverfront walkway and shop over 40 handmade vendors outside and inside the market.

9. African Descent Festival (All Ages)

This festival celebrates the cultural diversity of people of African Descent within Vancouver, while recognizing and promoting attitudes of oneness among all ethnic groups and communities. Enjoy cultural events, musical performances including headliner Jully Black, Hogan's Alley Tours, crafts, Community Fair and a Marketplace.

10. Crossing Mountains & Seas 穿越山海经(Ages 3+)

Presented by Vancouver’s Orchid Ensemble, an inter-disciplinary performance that fuses a role-playing video game, contemporary and aerial dance by Aeriosa Dance, original music with Chinese traditions, and interactive multimedia projection.
