Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Classical Kids: Beethoven Lives Upstairs
The world famous production of Beethoven Lives Upstairs features a lively exchange of letters between young Christoph and his uncle. Come early to enjoy an instrument petting zoo hosted by the VSO’s Education department. The Instrument Fair allows kids to touch and play real orchestra instruments in the Orpheum lobby starting at 1 p.m.

Haiku Workshop “The Nature of Haiku”
An exploration of haiku poetry in English with an emphasis on the seasonal and nature-focused aspects of this poetry, covering such techniques as kigo (season words), kireji (cutting words or a two-part juxtapositional structure), and shasei (primarily objective sensory imagery).
